1917 is a rare thing, a war film adored by critics and the public alike. If you missed it in the cinema then join us at Shuttleworth as the big screen is the only place to see this incredible film.
1917 tells the story of two young British soldiers during the First World War who are ordered to deliver a message calling off an attack doomed to fail. Shot in what is designed to appear like just two continuous shots 1917 is both visually entertaining and technically brilliant. The House, Shuttleworth is stunning location for this brilliant film.
The House at Shuttleworth is set in the wider landscape of the early 19th century Grade II listed parkland of Old Warden Park, on which the outdoor screening will take place. The historic shrubbery walk leads into an extensive picturesque Regency style Swiss Garden, with 13 structures and intriguing vistas. The garden is adjacent to The Collection, home to some of the last remaining airworthy vintage aircraft of their type and interesting selection of mostly period cars, carriages, classic motorcycles and early bicycles.Only alcohol purchased on site may be brought into the venue.
