Covid 19 Impact Statement

Hosting an event with the current restrictions is much more difficult than normal and as such we’re asking our guests to help us ensure that we can put on a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

Social distancing will be in place and we ask that you respect each others space.  Should you wish to wear a mask then please do so.

Smoking/Vaping will not be permitted in the viewing area.  You must move to the rear of the seating area should you wish to do so.

As ever you’re welcome to bring a picnic, however to protect our staff we’re asking that all packaging is take home, this is really important and will impact on our ability to host future nights if it doesn’t happen.

There will be a toilets on site and we’ll be asking guests to use antibacterial gel before and after use, A queuing system will be in place so use will take longer than expected

We’re asking this year that guests do not bring alcohol on site, there will be a bar on site with prices set to reflect this.  Social distancing can be tricky in the dark and by not permitting guests to bring large amounts of there own drink on site will help everyone enjoy their night.  Non alcoholic drinks are of course welcome.

If at all possible please print your ticket, we’ll have more staff on duty than normal but we anticipate scanning will take a little longer than normal.

Ushers will help you seat and fill the viewing area from the front working back.

Before you book your tickets please remember that the current guidelines stipulate that you may not meet in a group of more than 6 people outside from different households.  The viewing area will have markers indicating 2 metre intervals to assist in distancing from those outside your family ‘bubble’.

These guidelines mean that you will not be able to sit with guests outside your bubble, the viewing area will be filled in arrival order.  Full guidelines can be found here or at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

One way systems will be in place, using these will help minimise crowding and breaking social distancing measures
Our film choices have had to change to comply with the pandemic and we’re not currently allowed to show sing-along films or permit our usual danceathon at the end of Dirty Dancing.

One final thing  – like lots of small businesses we’re really pleased to be back, we’re grateful for your continued support and we’re confident that the Sundown Team will give you a night to remember – even if it is a little different – if we make a mistake, or something’s not up to our usual standard – please do let us know and be kind to our staff on the night, they’ve been through lockdown too with all the same worries and concerns as the rest of us – Take care of yourselves and we look forward to seeing you soon.

This continues to be a rapidly evolving situation and this information is subject to change at short/no notice. Updated 21 July 2020.
